I awoke in my bed
To the screams in the street
All around our city
These voices are haunting me
Looking for my family
But this house is empty
My children can’t be found
What’s happened? A mystery
Running out into the streets
Thousands scream. Loved ones gone
No one knows what’s going on
A mother cries frantically
“My baby! In her crib. Now she’s gone
What’s going on
Where’s our loved ones
Where have they gone
One moment they are here
Now they have all disappeared
You use to say He would come
Back for those who receive
This Jesus in their hearts
I refused to believe
Gently you would tell me
All of those who don’t see
Would be left including me
To face their tragedy
And now they’re gone, this is true
I’m all alone-all confused
In this house and without you
Still outside- on and on
Thousands scream- loved ones gone
No one knows- what’s going on
Now I know- all along
You were right and I was wrong
As tears stream down on my face
I repent to my disgrace
Come Jesus I receive
Lord and King forever be
I am yours and you are mine
Take me to my destiny
So I’ll see you very soon
Praise your name-I was lost
Now I’m found-saved by your beloved Son
Still outside, on and on
Thousands scream- loved ones gone
I know why-there’s no need to cry out
