I was born a twin “up north”, as they say down here in the Bluegrass Hills, and that is where I had most of my musical training. I recorded my first record at age 16 and joined ASCAP Records as a teenager. I studied music through Vocal Trainers, Professors and attended Bowling Green State Musical Arts College in Bowling Green, Ohio. I have been blessed to sing and meet people, so far, in three different countries with my 12 String Guitar, and have sung in numerous states from Michigan down to Florida (“Sea World” was with a singing/dance group). I have been honored to share His music He has given me to various local program television shows, radio shows, Crisis Pregnancy Center Conferences, Youth for Christ Conferences, Conventions, a Midwives Conference, Home School Conferences, State Fairs (I stopped when I won first place. I vehemently despise competition), Churches and Messianic Congregations, weddings, and numerous funerals (Home Coming Celebrations) throughout Ohio, Michigan, Kentucky, North Carolina and Tennessee as well as a Worship Leader for congregations and women’s groups.
This is my third recording I have been honored to partake in, but the first with our recently formed band Katuv. I have also earned a few Thespian Acting Awards at a young age and have acted in various plays. Writing music and poems began at age 7 and I still have some of those yellowed- paged songs from my early beginnings neatly packed away in a safe. They are so innocently sweet that they would instantly melt your heart.
I currently serve as the Worship Leader for a Messianic Congregation our family belongs to and Dave, my husband/best friend along with our son, Jordan, are also part of the worship team. I also write for several home school web sites and “The Old School House Magazine.”
I give all the thanks to our Heavenly Father, Who has bestowed these musical gifts unto us for His glory and His use. Without Him, I could accomplish nothing.
