Hello! My name is Jordan and I am the percussionist which would include my djembes, congas, didgeridoo, frame drums, and other cultural instruments.
I began my musical journey at age 7 after we moved from Ohio to Kentucky. A good friend of ours taught me drums on a kit drum in a church building. After that, I was self taught with drum and different instrument videos and further gained my experience by substituting for drummers at local congregations. I started experimenting with world instruments with my dad, for home school, and studying their various techniques, sounds and culture with where they derived from. We like ‘hanging out’ at world instrument stores and asking lots of questions, learning how to play the instruments, spending money and gaining knowledge. We often stay there so long that my mom gets bored and has to walk with my little sister to a nearby coffee shop for a break.
Lots of practice, of course, has been a necessity for my adventure. I share my skills with our worship team weekly, blessing others with my
